Sr. Aurora Lopez-Ornelas

Sr. Aurora Lopez-Ornelas serves as the Vocation Directress and Formation Mistress in the Province of the Immaculate Conception. She entered the convent in 1984 at the age of 16, and has enjoyed being a bride of Christ for more than 25 years. She holds a B.A. in Liberal Studies from the University of Northridge and a B.A in Religious Studies from Instituto de Ciencias Religiosas ICRO. He has experienced different ministries such as teaching students in elementary school where she found her great joy was to prepare children for their First Holy Communion. She was the campus minister at Vincent Memorial Catholic High School, and the Vocation Directress of the U.S. Province as well as the Director of the Office for Vocations to the Priesthood and Consecrated Life in the Diocese of San Diego for seven years. With all her assignments related to vocations, she found her passion in helping the youth in their spiritual journey towards the discernment of their vocations which had deepened her relationship with Christ.
